For all of the practicum classes I have taken, costumes were my favorite ones. Before taking this class, I learned some basic sewing skills but never went further than that. During the course of the semester, it re-sparked my love for sowing and costuming. I learned how to hand sow closures and touch up on my hand sewing skills, expanded my knowledge on how to use the sowing machine, and learn how to read commercial patterns.

This experience led me to apply to work in the costume shop for my senior year. Working in the costume shop has been such a dream. I love that I am continuing to expand on my sewing skills and learn more about theatrical costuming in general.
